The Festival has evolved from the success of the Stirling Highland Games event and includes highland games competitions, an activities challenge programme, a trader’s village, a foodie festival and a live music gig in the evening.
Festival Location: Stirling Sports Village, Borrowmeadow Farm Road, Stirling, FK7 7UJ
Date: Saturday 18th August 10:30 to 17:00 | 19:00 to 23:00 (exact timings TBC)
As part of the Festival event, on site Traders play a key part in providing a positive experience for visitors. Many of them are from throughout the UK and overseas. They are interested in seeing and buying quality Scottish products including hearing about its provenance.
Traders will be allocated space within their respective areas, designed to maximise customer dwell time and encourage sales. We are seeking to appoint a diverse range of traders to showcase the widest possible choice to our visitors.
We especially want to hear from traders if you can tell our visitors about how you source, make and produce the products you have to offer. We will be selecting our traders based on quality and experience to ensure our visitors take home the best quality and variety of Scottish product.
The Foodie Festival will be hosted by Cate Devine again and celebrity Chef, Tony Singh. We are looking at hosting a live tasting session with some traders produce so make sure you tick the box if you are interested.
The 2018 Stirling Highland Games Chieftain is Stirling born actress, Simone Lahbib.
Priority is given to local traders and those that uphold the principles of FVSE’s event ethos.
Traders products should be available to purchase via cash, with traders encouraged to offer card provision too (please note Wi-Fi connection is not available).
Next submission deadline is on 31st May 2018.
We encourage traders to apply from Scotland Food and Drink, Scottish Arts and Crafts, Scottish Clans and Activities providers and with between 4000 and 5000 visitors coming from all over the world, your products should appeal to both a Scottish audience as well as other visiting nations.
