Stirling Highland Games to Host a Novice Heavyweights Training session

Stirling Highland Games is looking forward to hosting its first novice heavyweights training session in June this year.

The President of Stirling Highland Games has been pushing for this kind of development for many years now, and having recently agreed to collaborative support from Active Stirling, it allowed him to push on with his vision to provide an opportunity and encourage more novice athletes to take up this sport.

The training session is aimed at those novice athletes aged 16+ who wish to give heavyweights a go. We have 2 of Scotland’s heavyweight champions leading our coaching sessions across the 4 disciplines, and we will be looking to incorporate additional sessions such as clean sport and/or nutrition.
