Supporting Highland Rewilding Since 2022

Stirling Highland Games & Ceangail CIC “Plant a Tree” Initiative

At Stirling Highland Games, our celebration of Scottish tradition goes hand in hand with protecting the landscapes that inspire it. Since 2022, our stakeholders have proudly supported Ceangail CIC’s “Plant a Tree” initiative, helping to restore the natural beauty of the Scottish Highlands in partnership with Trees for Life.

Growing a Living Highland Legacy

Through this initiative, trees are planted in support of rewilding efforts that restore Scotland’s native Caledonian Forest. These projects are vital in:
·      Rebuilding biodiversity and wildlife habitats
·      Capturing carbon and addressing climate change
·      Reviving Scotland’s natural heritage for future generations

Ceangail CIC’s dedicated grove with Trees for Life represents a growing legacy of environmental stewardship linked directly to the Stirling Highland Games community.

A Partnership Rooted in Purpose

Ceangail CIC, a not-for-profit social enterprise, connects people, communities, and organisations to meaningful environmental action. Working alongside Trees for Life, a leading rewilding charity, this initiative ensures every tree planted contributes to long-term landscape restoration across the Highlands. Together, we are creating lasting impact — turning shared values into tangible action.

Why It Matters to Stirling Highland Games

The Highland Games are deeply connected to Scotland’s land, history, and community spirit. By supporting this initiative, we are:
·      Honouring our heritage — protecting the landscapes that shaped Highland culture
·      Strengthening community impact — enabling collective environmental action
·      Building a sustainable future — ensuring the Highlands remain vibrant for generations

Get Involved

Everyone can play a part in growing this legacy:
·      Plant a tree through our dedicated grove
·      Dedicate trees to family, clans, or special occasions
·      Engage your organisation in meaningful climate action
·      Share the initiative and inspire others to participate

Every tree planted strengthens the connection between people, place, and future.

A Legacy Beyond the Games

Stirling Highland Games is more than a single day of celebration — it’s an ongoing commitment to community, heritage, and sustainability. Through our continued support of Ceangail CIC and Trees for Life, we are helping to ensure that Scotland’s landscapes remain as powerful and enduring as its traditions.
