Supporting Partner of The Stirling Stones

The Stirling Stones are an exclusive strength, endurance and agility challenge only available to watch at Stirling Highland Games. The Challenges are an open competition, meaning any athlete can submit a registration to compete, but there can only be one Champion.

The Bruce Challenge is not for the faint-hearted as participants will need to walk 2 Scottish boulders, over a grass field, between 2 posts that are 20m apart, for a champion to be found. It is said that Robert the Bruce, King of Scots, visited many highland games to keep an eye out for which clan members were the fastest, the strongest and most agile. Stirling Highland Games pays homage to that by creating this new challenge, which has proven to be a real crowd pleaser.

Watch some amazing athletes take the challenge this year to see who can carry our Scottish Whin and Scottish Granite boulders, weighing in at 164.5kg, the furthest.
