Highland Games Overview
Stirling Highland Games continues to attract thousands of visitors from around the world to our annual event in August.
Stirling Highland Games is a destination event for visitors to come and enjoy an authentic Scottish experience in one of the most historic cities in Scotland, steeped in history, and full of culture and heritage. If your product can add value to our Traders Village event experience, we would be interested in receiving your EOI application.
The majority of last year’s visitors to the event were from the UK, Europe and the Rest of the World. Our visitors are interested in seeing and buying quality produce and products directly from the people that make them as well as hearing about their provenance.

For the best authentic highland games experience, we are looking to showcase the very best traders Scotland can offer to our visitors. 84% of last year’s visitors rated the event as Excellent or Very Good.
Be Part of The Traders Village Experience
Thank you for your interest in being one of the traders at the Stirling Highland Games on Saturday 17th August 2024.
We are looking for applications from suitable Market Traders [arts/crafts/business], Activities Challenge [sports clubs or sports business], Food & Drink Traders [Artisan Food or Drink producers] and Craft Brewery and Distilleries. Successful applicants will be allocated an outdoor trade space within the site. Our aim for you on the day is to help maximise customer dwell time and encourage engagement, giving you the opportunity to promote your product.
We are looking to appoint a diverse range of quality traders so as to showcase the widest possible choice to our visitors. We especially want to hear from traders that can tell our visitors about how you source and produce the products you create. As such we encourage traders to apply from Scottish Arts and Crafts, Scottish food and drink producers, Scottish Clans and local sports clubs or associations with a view to appealing to both a Scottish audience as well as other visiting nations.
We will be carefully selecting our traders to ensure our visitors take home the best quality and variety of Scottish products and priority is given to traders that uphold the principles of our event ethos.
We would recommend that Traders should offer a variety of payment options, giving you more opportunity to generate income. Please note we do not provide a wifi connection on-site.
The event is delighted to once again commit our support to our organisers, our chosen 3rd Sector partner who inspire young people into tourism through their training academy programmes. As such the Committee is not looking for EOI applications from other charities, social enterprises or voluntary organisations but you can contact us and ask for more details about our 3rd Sector marketing package.
Application Process
- Complete and submit the Expression of Interest [EOI] application below to trade at this year’s event.
- We will acknowledge receipt of your application.
- Following a review of all applications you will then be notified about the outcome and if successful, what additional paperwork is needed in stage 2 from Stirling Council.
- Stage 2 – All relevant paperwork to be uploaded / submitted to us ASAP or before 30th June 2024.
- Stage 2 – You will also receive an invoice at this stage from our organisers Ceangail CIC requesting payment which will secure a trade space at Stirling Highland Games 2024.
- All Traders paperwork submitted will then be reviewed by Stirling Council for approval in advance to trade at the event.

Successful EOI applications will be notified by email and given a list of additional paperwork needed to upload to an online folder including:
- Public Liability Cert
- Stirling Council Food Safety Events Form
- Stirling Council Occassional License form
